I heard about the gas price gouging that was going on over the thanksgiving weekend, but what I experienced this morning at the local BP station was over the top in my opinion. All the regular pumps had bags over them, indicating that they were out of order, so not only did they bump prices 10 - 15 cents, but they also dropped the cheapest gas they sell. I was a bit peeved, but since I was below E, I put a few dollars in.
I can’t say that I totally disagree with the idea of raising prices on such high demand days, but when a company goes over the top like this, I think it could have a damaging effect. I won’t stop at that gas station again.
