The Web’s Doors of Perception

Sometimes I read things on the Net and just wonder, what is the truth.

I think that those people using the Net regularly are achieving a new level of searching and filtering ability than we previously had or needed. The “information at your fingertips” promise has its drawbacks.

Today we quickly scan information at a faster rate always knowing that more/better information is only a few clicks away. Our minds automatically balance our awareness between too much and just enough.

Everything that our five senses pick up at any given time, go through a funnel provided by the mind. Some have said that mediatation and drugs will widen the funnel, but to what benefit? I’m not necessarily interested in widening the funnel, but instead fine tuning it for greater efficency and production.
