Seeing “Mulholland Dr.” While Drugged Up

The dentist trip went well. They originally said I’d be in their office all day, from 8:40am till 3:00 or 4:00pm. They must have been speedy, because I was awake and ready to go home by 12:30pm. Once I got home I was in and out of sleep. The drugs were still flowing through me, I’m sure.

Here’s the weird part. Jenny picked up a few movies for me to watch, since I knew I wasn’t going anywhere, and I just got done watching Mulholland Dr.. Can someone tell me if I’m still too drugged up, or should I have been able to follow the movie. Everything kept fading in and out, changing plot, absence of plot, erotic at times, suspenseful for no good reason. My head is swiming. Oh well, another David Lynch film I’m not sure I got.

Overall I liked the movie, not the pulled wisdom teeth.

Aaron, Glad to hear you are alive and well after the dentist visit. I can't tell you anything about Mulholland Drive, haven't seen it. But, if you did not understand a David Lynch movie under the drugs I doubt you would have understood it any better without.

i haven't seen mulholland drive either, but i've heard some things. lynch movies are generally a bit whacked, but i tend to enjoy them. if i would have known, i'd have lent you the 1st season of twin peaks dvds! (plus the pilot - vhs only, though - and fire walk with me, the prequel. i watched 'em all in one weekend binge - that was interesting!

yeah, i'm pretty sure that you were just fine, and it was the movie itself that was wacked out.
