John le Carré the author?

This article titled The United States of America has gone mad has been in the top slot of the DayPop Top 40 for a few days now and I’m not sure what to make of it.

I don’t usually post anything too political, but the thing that caught my eye about this article was its author; John le Carré.

I remember my Mom reading all his books and loving them. I was much younger and not much of a reader at that time. I don’t have much of an opinion about the “US going mad”, but seeing le Carré’s name again reminded me that I wanted to borrow one of his books from Mom. So Mom, if you’re listening and you still have them, pick one out for me to borrow the next time I come over.

A google search came up with this link: John le Carré, Salman Rushdie and Christopher Hitchens Exchange Biting Letters, which might be interesting to read sometime as well.

I'll certainly pick out some of LeCarre's books for you. His first novel that came to prominence was THE SPY WHO CAME IN FROM THE COLD. Some critics considered it the finest example of espionage fiction in the 20th century.
