Archive Everything

Matt Haughey, of MetaFilter fame, linked to an amazing keynote speech by Brewster Kahle at the Library of Congress. I feel the need to spread this as far as my little weblog will carry it.

Basically, Mr. Kahle talks about the potential to archive and make available the total sum of human knowledge. This is a dream common throughout our history, but we are getting closer and closer to being able to make this actually possible.

In his speech, he asks and answers three key questions. Can we? Should we? May we?

The last question is left for the reader/listener. Will we?

If you have the time and means, take a look at this speech. The more people that share this common dream, the more chance of it someday becoming a reality.
