A Kill Bill Weekend
Jenny flew home to Cincinnati yesterday, so I took the oppurtunity to rent a video that she wouldn’t like. An easy choice was “Kill Bill: Vol. 1”; Tarantino’s latest on video. It was good and it was violent. I looked up Tarantino on IMDB and found out that he wrote the story for Natural Born Killers, another movie that Jen doesn’t see the point of. The guy definitely has a thing for violence in film.
Anyway, I must be desensitized to the violence or something. I watched Vol. 1 and immediately knew that I’d be at the theater the next night to finish the set.
So how was “Kill Bill: Vol. 2”? I’d say very satisfying, although I’m not good at critiquing films. I’m much too laid back to pick them apart. I just go and try to enjoy the show. Most of the time I can find some aspect of a movie that I enjoy. For Kill Bill it was Uma Thurman and David Carradine’s performances. I think they both played their roles well, but eh… what do I know.
