Plus Side Addressing

This GMail tip just opened a whole new level of email capability that I have been ignorant of. I feel like I must be living under a rock.

Plus side addressing? Plussed Users (sounds icky)?

I’m not sure the correct term for it, but it basically means using a + character and some variable text between your username and the @ symbol in your address.

joe+something@example.com — or — joe+anything@example.com

You can setup filters in your e-mail client (or Gmail) to handle the incoming mail and send it to various folders, etc. Just nice to have that ability sometimes.

BTW, I’ve got a few Gmail invites if someone wants one.
