Perl for Win32; mySQL for Win32; Am I Crazy?

I’m currently downloading the latest version of Perl for Win32, MySQL and Moveable Type.

I know others may call me a fool for attempting this on a Windows 2000 enviornment, but I have nothing better to do right now several things I should be doing right now, and I’m procrastinating. I just want to try it out.

Wish me luck.

actually, i used perl for win32 on nt 4.0 several years ago and it worked out real well. great for hacking together little programs to do user management and maintenance tasks. stuff that would be overkill and too time consuming to do in vb or vc++. although, linux would be a better environment... never tried mysql on windows yet. (i think we used perl for win32 for something in that values.com project, too - "code sweeper" or something.)

It all turned out very well. Perl was a snap to install. The ppm manager for downloading and installing CPAN modules kicks butt. MySQL was pretty easy. Movable Type rocks~!
