Life goes by and so does this weblog

I really will try to make updates more frequent around here. I’ve been averaging a little more than one post a week and I know I can do better.

Things are good.

Yesterday I spent an absolutely wonderful day rock climbing on Mt. Lemmon with a co-worker. We did a five-pitch route that was probably the funnest climb I’ve ever done. Very mellow and simple, but with some nice exposure.

Jenny is spending lots of time at school both with classes and as an assistant track and field coach. I’m still living vicariously through her experiences of being back on the track. Our workouts continue, but admittingly I think I could push a little harder on each workout.

I’m hoping to build a shade structure over a built up (concrete?) floor that could serve as an outdoor workout area. The house is plenty large for us, but I don’t want to use one of the bedrooms for a home gym when we’ve got lots of room outside and the weather allows for this type of arrangement. I’m starting to price things out in my mind and if we do okay on taxes then I might get some funds to do the project. It’s a little ambitious, but I think it would be pretty sweet!

Ughh.. I need to do taxes. Like tomorrow.

Probably my biggest news if your still reading is that I’ve taken a new position at the Summit Hut. You can probably already guess can’t you?

I’m going to be working on the website and other web projects. I’ll still get to work out on the sales floor and interact with customers, but now I’ll also get to bring some of my knowledge to their already talented web team. I’m super excited about this opportunity, but like always, I’ll probably not say much about my employment situation since the whole weblog-work relations sometimes don’t go so well.

I knew I couldn’t stay away from website development for very long. This will be different from most of my other employment since I won’t be working for a “client”. We are the client!

Finally I’ll stop this update with a photo from the Catalina Foothills track. This is the life~!

I knew it. You're getting right back in the game. I'm glad to hear that you are enjoying yourself, thats the most important thing in life.

Keep it simple.

Yep. Back in the game and I feel as if I have some major catching up to do. I'm cruising through all the web development blogs that I've stopped or slowed down on reading.

Keep up the training too. I'm into my weekly "long runs" on the weekends (10-12) miles and things are good so far. Less than 2 months until the pig. I'm currently in Houston, Tx. on business and have even found a great place to run here, and the weather is great. The week after I get home is the Mini-Heart, this year it should be a piece of cake because I've already run farther than that distance several times, I still expect the hill to kill me though.
