Meeting People is Easy

The theme at SXSW this year for me is about meeting people.

Over the past one and a half years working at an Outdoor Specialty Store, I’ve been blessed to have to interact with our customers almost everyday — whether helping them find the perfect tent or fitting them into some good hiking shoes, I’ve had to come out of my shell and actually talk to strangers. I feel like that will make a world of difference in my experience at SXSW. Living the business cube world was flipping me outside-in. And I think I’ve finally gotten the right intro-extro-vert balance going right now. Just in time.

The unofficial geek guide to getting over yourself at SxSW Interactive 2005 is also a very good sign. I’ll be one of the crazed geeks running around austin, smile ear-to-ear, with an orange happy face sticker plastered somewhere on myself.

I can’t wait. If you’re going and you spot me, please say hi. I’m looking forward to meeting you.
